The structure, phase, and morphology of the nanopowders and nanocolloidal media were determined by high-resolution TEM and X-ray diffraction. It was shown that the obtained nanoparticles have a round-spherical shape with average size in the range of 4 to 20 nm. Energy transfer was observed for Y(2)O(3) : Eu(3+), Tb(3+) colloidal and powders, upconversion transitions were observed for both Y(2)O(3) : Er(3+) and Y(2)O(3) : Er(3+), Yb(3+) nanophosphors. Yu Magnetization, resistivity, and electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements were carried out to investigate spin dynamics, electrical and magnetic properties of (La0.5Pr0.5)(0.7)Pb0.3Mn1-xCuxO3 (x = 0, 0.02) perovskites. It was found that with Cu addition the Curie temperature decreased from 326 K for x = 0 to 300 K for x = 0.02 composition. The x = 0 sample underwent a metallic-insulator transition at similar to 130 K, whereas the x = 0.02 sample with higher resistivity exhibited ail insulating behavior as a whole. It was furthermore found that asymmetrical ESR signals at low temperatures became Lorentzian at high temperatures above T-min. The temperature dependence of the linewidth, Delta H(T), at T > T-min fits well to the one-phonon model, Delta H(T) = AT + B. Duc Fnidiki, A Teillet, J X-ray diffraction, magnetization, and Mossbauer effect investigations have been performed for sputtered Fe1-xCrx (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.54) thin films. The body-centered-cubic (bcc) phase appears for x < 0.32, while the sigma phase is formed for 0.38 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.44. For 0.32 less than or equal to x < 0.38 and 0.44 < x less than or equal to 0.54, the samples are composed of both bcc and sigma phases. As the Cr concentration increases, the ferromagnetic fraction, magnetization, and magnitude of the hyperfine field decrease, whereas the magnitude of the isomer shift increases. The Fe and Cr magnetic moments, isomer shift, and hyperfine field of the bcc Fe-Cr phase have been deduced and are discussed consistently in terms of charge and spin distributions, as well as magnetic valence. Dung Total suspended particulate matter in ambient air was sampled by high-volume samplers at four sites at the Asian Institute of Technology campus, west of the Phahonyothin Road, Phathumthani Province, 40 km North of Bangkok, Thailand. The concentrations of 18 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), were measured by gas chromatography with flame ionisation and/or liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. The PAH profile with relatively high concentrations of benzo(ghi)perylene and coronene, decreasing with the distance from the road, suggested a substantial contribution from the traffic. Nguyen, Huy Dan Nguyen, Huu Duc Tran, Dang Thanh Fe90−xNixZr10 (x= 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25) ribbons with various thicknesses were prepared by using a melt-spinning technique. The Curie temperature,TC, of the alloys dramatically decreased from ∼960 K to room temperature at high quenching rates. When the alloys had an amorphous structure, their TCstrongly depended on the Ni concentration. The maximum entropy change, |∆Sm|max,with∆H= 12 kOe, of the alloys was around 1 J·kg −1 K −1 at room temperature. Le, Hung M. Ng, Wilson K. H. Hirao, Hajime Graphene and C-60 can establish coordination bonds with transition metal atoms/clusters. Using first-principles modeling methods, we explore the C(60)Fengraphene intercalating nanostructures (n = 16), which may have potential applications in, e.g., spintronics. Twelve optimized configurations are found to possess good energetic stability (with binding energies of 4.2220.54 eV). Eleven structures have different magnitudes of magnetism (2.0012.75 mu B/cell), whereas one is non-magnetic. The magnetism is highly correlated with the bonding orientations between Fe atoms and C-60. This practice may cause several adverse environmental conse-quences and increase health risks to local communities. These dumping sites are contaminated with many chemicals including brominated flame retardants (BFRs) such as polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and hexabromocyclododecanes (HBCDs). BFRs may be released into the environment through production processes and through the disposal of plastics and electronic wastes that contain them. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the status of BFR pollution in municipal waste dumping sites in Asian developing countries. There is still little published research on such a formulation. The model drug used in the current study is isradipine (IS), a calcium channel blocker of the dihydropyridine class. To fulfill the expected target, solid dispersion containing IS was first prepared with the carrier polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG 6000) with the melting method and then polyethylene oxide N-60K (PEO N-60K) was utilized to induce drug release in a controlled manner. Vu, Hong Thai Nguyen Boateng, Agyenim In this paper, we examine the effects of monetary policy on the risk-taking behaviour of Chinese banks in the presence of involuntary excess reserves based on a sample of 95 banks. We find that involuntary excess reserves lead to more aggressive risk-taking suggesting that large involuntary excess reserves stimulate the rapid expansion of credit and the price bubble in the Chinese financial market. However, banks with larger involuntary excess reserves tend to reduce risk-taking more rapidly under the tightening monetary policy regime. The paper sheds light on the effectiveness of government monetary policy in reducing the risk-taking behaviour of banks in an emerging market where involuntary excess reserves are present. Nguyễn, Quốc Huy Kết quả điều tra, đánh giá hiện trạng mối gây hại tại 178 công trình kiến trúc tại khu phố cổ Hội An đã xác định được 6 loài mối thuộc 2 giống và 2 họ mối. Trong đó giống Coptotermes chiếm ưu thế với 4 loài, giống mối còn lại là Cryptotermes có 2 loài. Có 102/178 công trình điều tra đang bị mối xâm hại ở các mức độ gây hại khác nhau. Có 4 loài mối được xác định là loài gây hại chính cho khu phố cổ. Mức độ gây hại của từng loài cụ thể là Coptotermes gestroi là loài gây hại nghiêm trọng nhất, tiếp đến là loài Coptotermes formosanus; C. ceylonicus và Cryptotermes domesticus. Có 77 công trình nhiễm mối Coptotermes đã được xử lý bằng bả BDM 10. Kết quả cho thấy, hiệu quả xử lý mối đạt 100% ở các công trình, trong đó: có 78,11% công trình đã đạt hiệu quả xử lý ngay trong lần đánh bả thứ nhất; 19,39% công trình cần có lần xử lý bả thứ 2 và chỉ có 2,5% số công trình bị mối gây hại nặng, cần xử lý bả thứ 3. In which, Manganese peroxidase (MnP) produced by Phanerochaete Chrysosporium, a white rot fungus, have ability to degrade glyphosate. Những peptit này ngoài giá trị dinh dưỡng chúng còn có một số ảnh hưởng đặc biệt đến chức năng sinh lý của cơ thể, giúp tăng cường và nâng cao sức khỏe của con người như khả năng chống ô xi hóa, kháng vi sinh vật, khả năng điều hòa miễn dịch. Phạm, Thu Hương Lê, Thị Thủy Đinh, Nho Thái Nguyễn, Thị Hồng Loan Catalase là enzyme có mặt ở peroxisome trong hầu hết các tế bào hiếu khí và là một thành phần trung tâm của các quá trình khử độc, ngăn chặn nhanh sự hình thành H2O2 bằng cách xúc tác cho quá trình phân giải H2O2 thành H2O và O2. Trong nghiên cứu này, catalase từ Bacillus subtilis PY79 đã được tinh sạch bằng phương pháp tủa ammonium sulfate bão hòa ở nồng độ 50% kết hợp với sắc kí trao đổi ion âm Q-sepharose và sắc kí trao đổi ion dương CM-sepharose. Catalase tinh sạch có hoạt độ riêng là 30717,2 U/mg và hiệu suất thu hồi đạt 8,9%. Enzyme hoạt động trong khoảng pH từ 5 - 11, nhiệt độ 4 -40 o C và tối thích tại pH 7,0; nhiệt độ 37 o C. Enzyme có giá trị K m với H2O2 là 14,4 mM và Vmax đạt 16294,83 U/mg. Nguyễn, Thị Diệu Cẩm Trong nghiên cứu này, quá trình nitrat hóa trên hệ lọc sinh học hiếu khí đối với nước nuôi tôm thương phẩm đã được nghiên cứu. Kết quả phân tích một số mẫu nước nuôi thủy sản cho thấy giá trị CODMn trong khoảng 10 – 15 mg/L, NH4+ khoảng 0,5 - 2 mg/L và độ mặn khoảng 14 - 25 o/oo. Trong quá trình xử lý nước nuôi tôm thương phẩm chỉ ra rằng, thời gian khởi động hệ lọc càng dài thì hiệu quả quá trình nitrat hóa càng cao và ổn định, do vi sinh vật cần có thời gian thích nghi với độ mặn cao của loại nước thải này. Đặc biệt, có sự tích lũy NO2- trong quá trình xử lý, chứng tỏ chủng vi sinh nitronomas khá nhạy cảm với môi trường nước có độ mặn cao. Nguyễn, Thị Thúy Mậu Vũ, Ngọc Trung Nguyễn, Hữu Hiếu Nguyễn, Thanh Thúy Vũ, Thị Thơm CYP2C19 là một trong những enzyme chủ yếu tham gia vào quá trình hoạt động thuốc chống ngưng tập tiểu cầu với bệnh nhân nhồi máu cơ tim cấp. Kiểu gen khác nhau gây ra đáp ứng ức chế ngưng tập tiểu cầu khác nhau. Chính vì vậy chúng tôi tiến hành nghiên cứu đánh giá mối liên quan giữa đa hình gen CYP2C19 và độ ngưng tập tiểu cầu (NTTC) trên bệnh nhân nhồi máu cơ tim cấp. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện theo phương pháp mô tả cắt ngang các người bệnh được chẩn đoán nhồi máu cơ tim cấp xét nghiệm đa hình gen CYP2C19 và độ NTTC. Kết quả trong 64 người bệnh, tỷ lệ kiểu gen tác dụng giảm và kém là 59,3%, bình thường 40,7%. Độ NTTC trung bình ở nhóm gen chuyển hóa (giảm, kém) và bình thường lần lượt là 29,79±13,6 và 23,27±11,6, có độ tương đồng cao giữa 2 nhóm gen chuyển hóa. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện tại khoa Giải phẫu bệnh - Pháp Y bệnh viện Việt Đức trong thời gian từ 01/01/2013 đến 30/8/2015 trên 100 nạn nhân tử vong do TNGTĐB có tổn thương vỡ xương sọ. Nạn nhân nhỏ tuổi nhất là 8 tuổi, nạn nhân lớn tuổi nhất là 78 tuổi. Độ tuổi trung bình là 28.5 tuổi, gặp nhiều nhất là nạn nhân 22 tuổi.
