Vinamilk’s Supply Chain and the Small Farmers’ Involvement

Luc, Thi Thu Huong Supply chain management is the critical success factor in the food processing industries in general and in dairy firms in particular. This article tries to analyze the current state of the supply chain of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), the leading player in the country’s dairy industry. Along with the supply chain’s description and analysis, this article also illustrates the challenges of fresh milk procurement activities for the multiple small farmers in the country. The article ends up with some solutions for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Vinamilk’s supply chain as well as for the higher participation and benefits for the small farmers. Human Action Recognition Using Dynamic Time Warping and Voting Algorithm (1)

Pham, Chinh Huu Le, Quoc Khanh Le, Thanh Ha This paper presents a human action recognition method using dynamic time warping and voting algorithmson 3D human skeletal models. In this method human actions, which are the combinations of multiple body part movements, are described by feature matrices concerning both spatial and temporal domains. The feature matrices are created based on the spatial selection of relative angles between body parts in time series. Then, action recognition is done by applying a classifier which is the combination of dynamic time warping (DTW) and a voting algorithm to the feature matrices. Experimental results show that the performance of our action recognition method obtains high recognition accuracy at reliable computation speed and can be applied in real time human action recognition systems. Evaluation of the optimal multiplex PCR method for the detection of aspergillus flavus and aspergillus parasiticus on dried peanut

Nguyen, Thi Hue Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus areq the common aflatoxin producing species that usually infect onq foodstuff in their production line from the field to the storageq place such as peanut, corn, cereal, etc., especially in tropicalq country like Vietnam. Aflatoxins which are considered as derivedq secondary metabolites assigned as a group of mycotoxinsq produced by several species of the Aspergillus spp are potentq hepatotoxins, immunosuppression, carcinogen that lead toq mortality or reducing the productivity of farm animals.
